Our Companionship Services are designed to help seniors, individuals with disabilities, and anyone requiring additional assistance remain active, independent, and engaged in their communities. Our compassionate and trained companions provide one-on-one support tailored to each individual's needs, offering a trusted presence that promotes confidence, safety, and social connection.
Our Services Include:
Accompaniment to medical and non-medical appointments, support with shopping, errands, and grocery trips
Assistance attending social visits, family gatherings, concerts, sporting events, religious services, and community activities
Friendly companionship for walks, coffee outings, and recreational activities
Travel companionship for individuals requiring support when visiting family or attending appointments within British Columbia, between provinces, or travelling to the United States, subject to service availability and applicable travel requirements
Assistance with transportation coordination and navigating airports, bus terminals, train stations, or other travel connections
Light housekeeping, including tidying living spaces, laundry, dishwashing, meal preparation assistance, and household organization.
Wellness check-ins and companionship to help reduce social isolation and promote emotional well-being. Every service is delivered with dignity, respect, and a person-centred approach. Whether you need a companion for a few hours, ongoing support, or assistance during travel, Heartland Community Services is committed to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate care every step of the way.
